
Having the USB plugged in causes the headset to receive both computer audio and communications audio as the same input therefore not allowing the built-in controller to adjust the sounds independently the communications rocker is rendered unusable and the computer audio rocker controls both. This works when I set my Trittons to default, but it only works over USB. This should set your headset to be the default while they are plugged in and return to your other speakers when they aren't.

Highlight them and set as default with the lower right button and then select apply. Plug in your headset while looking for the device that goes from Not plugged in to Ready.
